One year, eight months, thirteen days and five minutes later…

If you’re joining us late you’re going to want to take a look at the previous post in this blog.

I lost my way.

I don’t know how, but I just walked away from Searching The South. I forgot the part where I’m not doing this for anyone but myself. I forgot the joy that I get from just grabbing anything camera like and finding things that other people haven’t seen, things they can’t see the way I see them. Because, let’s face it, we all see things differently, and what I capture with my camera, that split second that I freeze in time, is something that no one else will capture.

So, here we are again, a beginning in the middle. I’ve been writing here on and off since 2013. This is who I am and where I belong.

These pictures are from a part of my town that is falling to pieces. It’s part of the old business district. To tell the truth this building should be torn down, although that would probably make me very sad. I like watching it decay. That may be a bit sad also.

But it is what it is. I’m back where I belong, Searching The South in both title and action.

Here’s to a good #wander.

And uh, GET OFF THE HIGHWAY!
